iPhone 6 Pro Concept Features Heart Rate Sensor, 16 MP Back Camera, Game Controller

We’ve got a bunch of videos that demo a brand new iPhone 6 concept, one that has been created by Sahanan Yogarasa exclusively for ConceptsiPhone. This device features a heart rate sensor, a 3 megapixel front camera and a 16 megapixel back shooter.

We’ve got iOS 8 on board and the Apple A9 chip inside. From what I’ve seen so far, this is actually the model that comes after the iPhone 6, since it’s the iPhone 6 Pro. The handset comes with a game controller that has a projector embedded and can show videogames and movies on a large diagonal. The concept iPhone has a 7.2 mm depth and a notification light at the bottom.

There’s even a special stylus included into the bottom of the phone and we’ve got a 16 megapixel camera with UHD capture at the top back. The screen is an edge to edge one and it’s a looker, as shown in the video.

The handset is still made of metal and the game controller comes with action buttons, analog sticks and a D Pad, as well as a projector that can change angle easily.

Nokia Lumia Phone of 2020 is Flexible and Fits in Your Wallet

Nokia Lumia Phone of 2020 is Flexible and Fits in Your WalletApparently Nokia had a special concept competition, that was meant to award designers with a phone after imagining the Nokia of the year 2020. Thomas Chanal made a concept for the competition and won the contest and the Nokia phone. Congratulations to him!

I'm
just going to call this the Nokia Lumia 2020 and I hope the designer is OK with that. This very original render relies on a very minimalistic design, that involves a very small handset body that can expand. I can see we get 6G connectivity and what seems to be a transparent and flexible screen. There are no physical buttons and this model is able to connect with anything, from game consoles to desktops and your car.

If I read it well, at the back there’s a 20 megapixel dual pixel CMOS sensor with a Digic 5+ image processor. There’s also a silent shutter mode, 7 FPS continuous shooting and RAW support. The Nokia Lumia concept shown here is available in a variety of colors and comes with a very original OS that doesn’t have a name.

It’s basically a blend of Meego and Tizen, if you ask me, with some elements from BlackBerry OS 10. This is certainly not Android and nor is it Windows Phone. What do you think?
[Thanks Thomas]

Nokia Fit, a Phone that Fits On Your Finger Like a Ring

Everyone laughed at that Apple ring concept a while ago, if I remember well, but here’s another device wearable around your index finger. Say goodbye to smartwatches or smart glasses, since the smart ring is here and this Nokia concept is actually pretty solid.

Created by Issam Trabelsi, the device is a ring that snaps around your index finger and allows you to call people. Dubbed Nokia Fit, this gadget is made from soft silicone and flexible rubber, being both waterproof and packed with the basic features of a phone. Notifications are made available through vibrations and the ergonomic design makes those tiny buttons easily accessible.

The only problem with the Nokia Fit ring phone is that it’s too easy to lose, while swimming in the water or jogging for example. Also, it would be pain to handle a mouse or keyboard with that thing on. But, the attempt may be the start of something interesting and the sketch showing the way the device is held next to ear seems very well thought to me. What do you think of this smartphone ring?

iPhone 6 Rendered by Martin Hajek Based on Recently Leaked Schematics

Martin Hajek has rendered a new set of iPhone 6 mockups, based on the recently leaked schematics that hit the web the past week. Rumors keep insisting that we’ll get a 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch/5.7 inch version of the new iPhone.
The overall format is not very far from the iPhone 5s, only more elongated and much thinner. It also seems that the corners are a bit more rounded and a shock comes from the volume buttons, now united into a single button. This takes us back to the days of the iPhone 3GS and its predecessors and I remember those buttons were comfy.

The sapphire crystal display is also in the mix, as well as Touch ID and an ultraslim bezel, almost non existing. Just like I said before, related to other iPhone concepts, this model has a slight iPad Mini vibe to it, so I’m guessing the iPad Mini design applies to the whole iDevice lineup now. The main problem of the iPhone 6 will be the thickness. Too thick and it’s ugly, too thin and it’s fragile. What will Apple choose?
